Task Bar of Ragnalis Patch Notes

What v1.0.1 and v1.0.2 actually changed—and how to recover if rewards broke.

Patch Notes 1.0.1 & 1.0.2

How to use these notes

This page consolidates the early Steam hotfix window for Task Bar of Ragnalis: v1.0.1, the main v1.0.2 stability pass, and the v1.0.2 emergency note about Reset and rewards. It does not invent unpublished systems. For planned features and the Market delay, continue to Roadmap. For symptom-first fixes, use Troubleshooting.

Task Bar of Ragnalis remains an idle auto-battler with a party of three, frontline/backline positioning, eight equipment slots, nine matching items combining to the next tier, random skills on gear, and offline rewards. Free base classes are Templar Knight, Priest, Witch, and Gunner. Pirate and Overlord are DLC. None of that is a redeem-code loop—see Codes.

v1.0.1 — readability, Gunner, DLC, Reset, early difficulty

Temporary text size option

v1.0.1 added a temporary text size option. Compact taskbar UIs are hard to read on high-DPI displays; this option exists so you can keep farming without guessing at menu labels. Pair it with Taskbar Setup, Controls, and System Requirements if the window still fights your monitor layout.

Treat “temporary” as a warning that the control may move or change later. Until a later patch replaces it, use it whenever inventory or Settings text is the real blocker.

Gunner accuracy fix

The same patch included a Gunner accuracy fix. Gunner is the free ranged class built around marking and eliminating targets from a safer line. If your early clear felt like shots were missing more than they should, update past the broken build before you rewrite your entire party plan. Class context lives in the Gunner Guide and the wider Classes hub.

DLC recognition fix

v1.0.1 also fixed DLC recognition. If Pirate or Overlord purchases failed to appear after install, a client update—not another store buy—was the first fix path. Confirm ownership on Steam, restart the game after the patch, then re-check class availability. Paid pack overview: DLC hub and Pirate & Overlord. Cost planning: DLC Cost Checker.

Reset button in Settings

Settings gained a Reset button. Official messaging is blunt: changing character means starting over. Reset is not a soft respec of one skill tree. Use it when you intentionally want a clean slate—or when later emergency notes tell you to press it again after a broken reward state. Do not treat Reset as a daily optimization trick.

Stages 1-1 to 1-3 difficulty reduced

Early stages 1-1 through 1-3 had difficulty reduced in v1.0.1. That change sits beside player complaints about soft openers and wave walls. It does not remove the need to stack gear or form a real three-hero party. After the difficulty tweak, keep practicing the loops in Early Progression, Beat Early Waves, and Stack Items.

v1.0.2 — chests, EXP, stuck maps

The main v1.0.2 note targeted progression soft locks:

  • Chests that could not be opened
  • EXP that stopped granting
  • Maps that felt stuck

If your idle loop was running but rewards or map progress froze, updating to the fixed build is mandatory before you blame class choice. After updating:

  1. Fully restart the client (not only minimize).
  2. Confirm you are not sitting on a pre-fix save state that still needs the emergency Reset step below.
  3. Resume normal check-ins: equip, stack nine copies where relevant, adjust the party of three.

Deep recovery steps and false-ban context are in Troubleshooting. Gear theory for when chests work again is in Items, including Tier Up and Random Skills.

v1.0.2 — anti-cheat soft bans and timezone mismatch

Official notes explained that anti-cheat was too strict and could cause soft bans when timezone data mismatched. That is a server-side / client trust issue, not a “play better” tip. Practical response:

  • Keep Windows time set to automatic timezone and internet time sync.
  • Avoid manual clock experiments while the game is running.
  • Update to the patched build that relaxes the false-positive case.
  • If you still cannot progress after a clean clock and a patched client, use Steam support channels and avoid third-party “unban” tools.

Soft-ban symptoms can look like stalled rewards. Distinguish them from the separate chest/EXP/map bugs above, and from simply being under-geared on a stage. The Honest Review covers launch friction without pretending every stall is a ban.

v1.0.2 emergency note — Reset again if rewards broke

An emergency follow-up matters for anyone who used Reset on the 1.0.1 build: if resetting in 1.0.1 broke rewards, press Reset again on the fixed build. That instruction is specific. It is not a license to reset repeatedly for loot luck.

Recommended order if rewards died after a 1.0.1 reset:

  1. Update to the latest Steam build (include the 1.0.2 fixes).
  2. Open Settings and use Reset once more as directed by the emergency note.
  3. Accept that Reset starts the character over—plan your next party with Party Builds and the Party Planner.
  4. Rebuild through free classes first: Templar Knight (frontline, Sigils), Priest (healer, Prayer), Witch (backline Full Cast), Gunner (ranged mark/eliminate).

What these patches do not change

  • There is still no redeem codes system (Codes).
  • Steam Market remains outside this hotfix window; it is indefinitely postponed on the Roadmap.
  • The game is still not Task Bar Hero—do not import TBH patch expectations (vs Task Bar Hero).
  • Core loops remain: idle/offline rewards, party of three, eight slots, nine-copy tier-ups, random skills.

After you are patched

Return to sustainable progress: How to Play, Guides hub, Classes, Items, and Tools. Track future dated targets on Roadmap, and keep this page bookmarked whenever Steam news posts another hotfix. For achievement hunting while idle, see Achievements. For DLC after recognition fixes, see DLC.

A clean client on 1.0.2-or-later plus honest Reset use will solve more “broken account” feelings than rerolling builds every ten minutes. Patch first, then optimize.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

What did v1.0.1 add besides difficulty changes?

A temporary text size option, Gunner accuracy fix, DLC recognition fix, and a Settings Reset button that starts the character over.

My chests will not open and EXP stopped. Which patch?

That matches the main v1.0.2 fixes. Update Steam files, then follow [Troubleshooting](/guides/troubleshooting/) if symptoms remain.

I reset on 1.0.1 and rewards broke. What now?

The emergency 1.0.2 note says to press Reset again after updating. Details are on this page and in [Troubleshooting](/guides/troubleshooting/).

Can timezone settings soft-ban me?

Official notes linked overly strict anti-cheat and timezone mismatch to soft bans. Use automatic Windows time and the patched client.
