Who Witch is

Witch is one of the four free base classes in Task Bar of Ragnalis. Official Steam news describes Witch as a backline damage dealer built around Full Cast spells. In Jagernaut Games’ idle auto-battler (Steam release July 30, 2026, App ID 4830880), that makes Witch a primary candidate for Seat 1 clearer duty in a party of three—especially when you want spell-focused clear speed instead of Gunner’s mark-and-eliminate fantasy.

Systems that actually exist here: automatic combat in a taskbar-style window, frontline and backline positioning, eight equipment slots, nine-item synthesis to the next tier, random skills, offline rewards, and paid Pirate / Overlord DLC. Steam Market support is indefinitely postponed. Do not import Task Bar Hero cubes or runes.

Backline Full Cast job

Place Witch in the backline seat and treat Full Cast as the kit’s published identity. Your player-facing work is still inventory and party management between automatic fights:

  • Equip Witch-legal weapons and cards that support consistent spell damage
  • Feed nine-copy stacks into the main damage line before vanity sidegrades
  • Pair Witch with someone who prevents wipe loops—often Templar Knight and/or Priest

Role framing: Tier List, templates: Party Builds, hub: Classes.

Full Cast without invented systems

“Full Cast” is the official spell identity for Witch. Use it as a planning label for backline damage investment. It is not a prompt to invent multi-layer casting mini-games from other titles. If a guide claims Witch needs rune sockets or cube crafts that never appear in Ragnalis menus, ignore that guide. See vs Task Bar Hero.

Random skills still differentiate two identically named staves. Prefer rolls that support steady automatic clear over screenshot novelties. Details: Random Skills and Items.

Gear, locks, and the nine-copy rule

Witch walls often look like “spells are weak” when the real issue is unfinished tiers or wrong-class loot. Checklist:

  1. Confirm the tooltip allows Witch
  2. Count copies toward nine via How to Stack Items and Tier Up
  3. Project missing drops with the Stack Calculator
  4. Fill the eight equipment slots with legal pieces before chasing DLC fantasy

Do not sell the eighth Witch weapon copy for panic gold. Idle games reward patience between check-ins; Ragnalis makes that patience visible as stack counts.

Party partners

  • Templar Knight + Priest + Witch: Durable free trio—frontline Sigils, Prayer rescue, Full Cast damage.
  • Templar Knight + Witch + Gunner: Double damage profiles; watch survivability carefully.
  • Priest + Witch + Gunner: High damage, thinner frontline—use only when maps allow it.
  • DLC swap: Replace a free seat with Pirate or Overlord after you understand the free loop—Pirate & Overlord.

Sketch seats in the Party Planner so Full Cast investment is not wasted on a constantly dead party.

Patch context for Witch accounts

Early stages 1-1 through 1-3 were eased in v1.0.1, which also added temporary text sizing, a Reset button in Settings (changing character starts over), Gunner accuracy fixes, and DLC recognition fixes. v1.0.2 fixed chests that would not open, EXP stoppages, stuck maps, and soft bans from anti-cheat timezone mismatches. If a 1.0.1 reset broke rewards, press Reset again per the emergency note.

When Witch “does no damage” because the map is frozen or chests never open, open Patch Notes and Troubleshooting before rebuilding the entire kit. Soft early clears that are not bugs belong in Beat Early Waves and Early Progression.

Offline rewards exist; keep the client updated and avoid confusing Market delay with missing Witch progression.

First-hour Witch checklist

  1. Learn the loop in How to Play.
  2. Fix readability with Taskbar Setup.
  3. Seat Witch in the backline clearer role.
  4. Equip the strongest Full Cast-relevant legal gear you own.
  5. Assign a survival partner before long AFK blocks.
  6. Stack toward nine on the main weapon/card line after every check-in.

Common mistakes

  • Fielding Witch with no frontline or healer and calling the class broken
  • Spreading stacks across three spell weapons at once
  • Ignoring class locks while blaming Full Cast math
  • Resetting the character for a temporary wall without reading Settings consequences
  • Buying Overlord or Pirate to “fix” Witch before free stacks finish
  • Importing Task Bar Hero spell-upgrade myths

Keep expectations grounded

Witch is the free backline Full Cast clearer in Jagernaut’s published roster. Make the seat legal, stacked, and protected. Let patches handle chest and EXP bugs. Re-rank only after your nine-copy lines and survival partners are real. That is how Witch turns the taskbar into a spell farm instead of a wipe loop.
